How awesome would it be for you dad to be a rockstar!? Well, Justin Soderberg was the son of a rockstar when he was a young child. His Dad, Adam Soderberg, played bars and other shows until the mid-1990’s with his band. Adam joins Brian Keezer and Justin this episode to discuss the topic of music and more!
Adam played live music with his friends and bandmates from age 15 until his mid-30’s. He opened for some well-known acts and played all over New England. However, in the mid-1990’s he stepped away from the band he love due to some comments from Justin.
Playing music wasn’t Soderberg’s full-time gig, he was working for the United States Postal Service, but was a huge passion. In the summer of 1998, the Soderberg’s moved from Southern Maine to the Bangor Area. Adam was heading to school in the field of Ministry and the family came along.
Now, Justin’s father works full-time as the Senior Pastor of South Church in Hartford, Connecticut where he also plays drums in their worship band.
Additionally, Brian has also played in his fair share of bands over the years and plays on Sundays for Journey Church in Hampden, Maine.
Passing down your love for music is something that parents have done for years. What music can you connect over? Will you children love the same artists or styles you love?
Special thanks to Adam Soderberg for joining us!
